David Powell - Welvista

The Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club welcomed David Powell, the Community Outreach Advocate for Welvista, to speak this morning. Welvista is a nonprofit committed to helping those without health insurance in South Carolina obtain critical prescription medication.

In 2023 Welvista provided prescriptions to about 21,000 residents. The medication, which is donated by some of the largest pharmaceutical companies, had a retail value exceeding $250 million.
